| some history Our supply yards have evolved due to customer demand and a changing supply environment in Auckland. Historically aggregate and scoria supplies for Auckland projects were sourced from city quarries located handily to sites. Over the last few years Auckland has seen many city quarries close. Factors include lack of resource consents, exhausted supplies, encroaching urban development. Major Quarry sources for Auckland are now almost all either south of Papakura, or North of Silverdale. Auckland's worsening traffic congestion problem exacerbates a growing issue : the time it takes for a truck to do a round trip to the quarry.
